Shipping policy
In our quest to use resources responsibly, you may receive packages in boxes that may have been used before. If we receive boxes and packaging that are viable, we will reuse it and hope you do the same. To a degree, this also lets us keep the costs a bit lower, so it's a win-win.
Shipping Insurance Notice:
Customers who downgrade to ground shipping will be responsible to purchase their own insurance. We package all items carefully but ground shipping can be exceptionally rough on scale models. ARC-tec will not be responsible for damage on uninsured ground-shipped packages and all claims shall be handled directly with the shipping provider by the customer.
Shipping Speed:
Shipping times will depend on your location. The shipping quotes provided by USPS are an estimate and vary from 2-8 business days for domestic delivery. International shipping is longer. We are not responsible for long international shipping times due to customs. If your package is still in transit, refunds will not be available. Please note that we do not guarantee any shipping timeframes.
Please allow 1-2 business days to process your order for shipping. We make every effort to fulfill orders as quickly as possible. Additionally, most of our items are made to order and have lead times as follows:
- 1-business day for decals.
- 3-business days for most scale items.
- 3-business days for tool accessories.
- 5-business days for light plants and large generators.
Large and custom orders may have additional lead times. Around holidays, shipping timeframes and rates may differ and are out of our control.
Shipping Rates:
We do not calculate the shipping rates. All of our items are shipped by weight and we rely on the USPS (or others when available) to calculate the exact postage necessary to send your package.
Order Tracking:
When your order is shipped, you will receive an email notification which will include a tracking number so that you can check the status. Please allow 48-hours for tracking information to become available. Once your package is provided to the carrier, you have the same tracking information that is available to us.
Local Pickup/Delivery:
Local pickup and delivery are not available.
